Roadside Americana (through 2000)

Through the 1990's I was hard at work on my Roadside Americana series. Many of those paintings emphasized primary colors; frequently reds and blues. The colors of America and Americana were interchangable. Most of these scenes were based on photos taken during numerous road trips through the west and the southwest, with a Nikon 35mm camera and a telescopic lens.

The paintings shown on this page are no longer available.

"Fireside Bar" was the first piece I collected from Don. Well executed and I never get tired of looking at it. Nice tight crop of an iconic neon sign.
